SEWING, SPINNING, WEAVING, AND FARMING

SMALL, LOCAL, SUSTAINABLE, AND HANDMADE

A small family farm and sewing studio located in beautiful Athens Tennessee. Here, via sustainable and ecologically responsible farming, we raise bees and honey, chickens, ducks, and eggs, and angora goats and shetland sheep. In my sewing studio I showcase and offer to my clients one of a kind, beautiful, handmade textile accessories.

  • THE STUDIO

Annie Morton Designs is my sewing, spinning, and weaving studio on the farm. Here I immerse myself in the creative process, crafting unique and exquisite handmade accessories, fiber arts bags, and woven shawls. Every item featured in my shop is not just a product but a piece of textile art that serves a practical purpose as an accessory. The creation of each item involves hours of dedication, from carefully selecting fabrics to the final stages of photography. I sincerely
hope that you derive as much joy from your purchases as I do from creating
    them.

  • GOATS, SHEEP, & WOOL

My farm is the happy sanctuary home of a small flock of scratch and dent, down on their luck, and ready for retirement angora and pygmy angora cross goats and shetland sheep. The flerd is adorable and silly and sweet. They serve the dual purpose of keeping our non arable land mowed and producing high quality, super fine, luxury mohair and wool for spinners, dyers, weaver, and other fiber artists.

  • BUSY BEES

We love our bees. They are gentle, they pollinate our gardens, smell amazing, and provide us with plenty of honey to share with our community.

Here on The Little Farm, we harvest, process, and bottle all of our honey a single hive at a time. Through the natural process of terroir, each hive can produce distinctly different flavor profiles of honey, even though the hives themselves are just a few feet apart in the apiary.
