This year's Farm Yarn is a blend of 50% Sheltand Wool, 40% Mohair, and 10% Southdown. from the sheep and goats here on our sanctuary farm here in the foothills of E TN. The fine mohair provides strength and shine while the soft shetland wool gives the yarn loft and memory. Plus that smidge helical crimp southdown wool from Betty gives just the perfect amount of bounce and elasticity. I'm very proud of this blend, and know you'll love it too.

Fiber Content: 50% Shetland Wool, 40% Mohair, 10% Southdown Wool
Mill Spun by Ewetopia Fiber Mill
Tonal Dyed: Duckling Yellow

Thickness: DK
Ply: 2
Length: 250 yards

This dk weight, small-batch, farm-raised yarn offers the perfect balance of warmth and durability, making it the sustainable choice for sweaters, shawls, hats and everyday accessories.

I tonal dyed each skein with vibrant dharma acid dyes, washed them in synthrapol, and rinsed them clear. They're very versatile and perfect for colorwork, textured stitches.

The Little Farm: Our farm is the happy home of a small flock of scratch and dent, down on their luck, and ready for retirement angora, cashgora, and pygmy angora cross goats and Shetland sheep. They are adorable and silly and sweet. They serve the dual purpose of keeping our non arable land mowed and producing high quality, super fine, luxury mohair and wool for spinners, dyers, weaver, and other fiber artists.

Our hot and humid climate doesn't allow for coating, so there may be some traces of VM that is easily picked out.
